TERMS & CONDITIONS
RESERVATIONS AND PAYMENT:
Early reservations are advisable and a non refundable deposit of US$250
is required for confirmation of travel arrangements. Final payment is
required 60 days prior to departure.
RATES AND FARES:
All fares and prices stated are based on rates of currency exchange valid
at the time of publication and are subject to change without notice. The
operator reserves the right to increase the prices shown herein or to
amend the listed holiday inclusions or itineraries prior to departure
from America. Tour costs also reflect marketing and service costs.
CANCELLATIONS:
If you cancel for any reason, the following cancellation fees apply: Up
to and including 21 days prior to departure: $750 per person; 21-14 days
of departure: 50% pp; 14-7 days prior to departure: 75% pp; within 7 days
of departure: 100% of tour cost. In addition, any cancellation charge
hotels, tour operators or companies involved with your vacation may levy.
REFUNDS:
REFUNDS ARE NOT AVAILABLE ON UNUSED ACCOMMODATION VOUCHERS OR SERVICES.
TRAVEL INSURANCE:
Travel insurance is strongly recommended to cover loss of deposit, any
airfare cancellation service fee, baggage loss or damage and medical fees.
LATE BOOKINGS AND AMENDMENTS:
Fax or cable costs incurred in obtaining information for late bookings
will be added to the tour cost. A minimum amendment fee of US$25 will
be charged to the passenger if any amendments are made once a booking
has been confirmed.
COSTS INCLUDED IN YOUR VACATION PRICE:
Inclusions for each vacation or option are as specified in the inclusions
section shown.
COSTS NOT INCLUDED IN YOUR VACATION PRICE:
- Meals, other than specified.
- Airport departure taxes.
- Passport, visa or vaccination costs.
- Excess baggage over the free limit.
- Travel insurance
- Wines, spirits, other than specified, or any other item of a personal
nature.
SINGLE SUPPLEMENTS:
Are payable by any person occupying a room for solo use.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Southern Cross Vacations, its agents, officers and affiliates and/or suppliers
of services, pursuant to or in connection with these itineraries, shall
act only as agents for the passenger in making arrangements for hotels,
transportation, restaurants, or any other service and do not assume any
liability whatsoever for any injury, damage, death, loss, accident or
delay to person or property due to an act of negligence of or default
of any hotel, carrier, restaurant, company or person rendering any of
the services included in the tour, or by act of God.
Further, no responsibilities are accepted for any damage or delay due
to sickness, pilferage, labor disputes, machinery breakdown, quarantine,
government restraints, weather or other causes beyond their personal control.
No responsibility is accepted for any additional expense, omissions, delays,
rerouting, or acts of any government or authority.
The airlines concerned are not to be held responsible for any act, omission
or event during the time passengers are not on board their planes or conveyance.
The passage contract in use by the airlines concerned, when issued, shall
constitute the sole contract between the airlines and purchasers of these
tours and/or passenger.
The right is reserved to withdraw any program in this folder and/or
make such changes in the program(s) and may be found desirable for the
convenience of the parties and the proper carrying out of tour(s). Qantas,
American Airlines or Ansett Airlines do not by virtue of their endorsement
of this brochure represent themselves as contracting with any purchaser
of a vacation from Southern Cross Vacations or as having any other legal
relationship with any such purchaser.
